So here I am. I am back at Luther College. This was a last minute decision, but I really think it was the right one. Living in Decorah, Iowa again will be a challenge--but I am so excited to be back at KWLC (more about that later!).

I am in a bit of a dilemma--I am trying to figure out what I am doing for school this fall. Basically, I need to decide whether I am going to Luther to start classes on Wednesday or attend Augsburg. It's a pain....I am having trouble figuring it out. Pray for me.

Yes it has been a long time since I last updated. I was in Orlando from 7 August to 14 August to attend the ELCA Churchwide Assembly (CWA). It is hard to explain the actions taken by the Assembly in regards to gay and lesbian people. I recommend reading Goodsoil.org and its blog for analysis. In other decent actions the CWA
*Called for peace and security in Israel and Palestine, including the removal of Israel's illegal "security" wall.
*Adopted a ministry strategy for Arab Americans
*Approved steps toward full communion with the United Methodist Church

Attending CWA was one of the most emotionally and spiritually trying and renewing times.

My grandpa's "Celebration of Life" was on the 31st at the Breazy Point Resort near Brainerd, Minnesota.

I will be leaving for Orlando on Sunday to attend the ELCA Churchwide Assembly as part of the witness group from goodsoil.org to vigil as to the Church's continued shunning of its GLBTQ members.
